Lauki ka Halwa


  • 2 cup Grated Lauki (bottle gourd)
  • 3&1/2 cup Milk
  • 1&1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 2 tablespoon sliced almonds & pistachioes
  • Few strands of saffron
  • Cardamom Powder


  1. Heat ghee in a nonstick pan, add grated lauki and fry for 4-5 mts at medium heat.
  2. After that add milk and boil till all the milk everporate.
  3. Add sugar and keep stirring so that the halwa don't stick to the pan.
  4. (Note: Sugar will release some water, keep stirring it till  the water completely evopartes.)
  5. Garnish with saffron, almonds n pisatachios
