Ingredients:For Base
- 1&1/4 cup All purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Yogurt/Curd
- 1 tablespoon Water
- 2-3 tablespoon Pizza Sauce
- 1/2 Onion (cut into thin strips)
- 1/2 Red Capsicum (cut into thin strips)
- 1/2 Green Capsicum (cut into thin strips)
- 1 tablespoon Olives or as required
- 1/2 cup Grated mozzarella cheese or as required to cover the topping
- Sieve all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt in a bowl. Add oil, mix well.
- Add yogurt and mix well.
- Add water and start to knead the dough to make it very loose and elastic.
- Add lemon juice, mix well with dough.
- Cover and leave it to rest in warm place for 2.5 hours.
- Preheat the oven at 350 degree Fahrenheit (180 degree Celsius)
- After 2.5 hours, apply some dry flour on dough and roll out into 10" diameter.
- Take a pizza tray cover with aluminum foil, grease with oil and put the rolled out dough on baking tray.
- Prick with fork, apply pizza sauce,add toppings and cover the pizza with cheese.
- Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes or till the base turns golden brown.
Ingredients for pizza base are pretty much similar to naan ingredients!!! Loving this yeast-free version :) Would bring an Indian touch too...
