Gajar Ka Halwa


Ingredients:

  • 8 cups Grated Carrot
  • 8 cups Milk
  • 4 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1&1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Almonds + 1 teaspoon (for garnishing)
  • 2 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • Few strands of Saffron (optional)

Direction:

  • Melt ghee in a large pan at medium heat. 
  • Add grated carrot in the pan, and fry for 5-7 minute.
  • After that add milk and cook for 50-60 minute or until milk dries up.
  • Then add sugar,cardamom powder,almonds and saffron and stir for another 20-30 minute or till halwa starts leaving the corner of the pan.
  • Turn off the heat. Garnish it with sliced almonds.
  • Serve hot or at normal temperature.
