Bread Gulab Jamun



Ingredients:For Gulab Jamun

  • 12 White Bread Slices
  • 2&1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Few drops of Rose Water
  • Ghee for deep fry

For Stuffing

  • 2 tablespoon Chopped pistachios
  • 1 tablespoon Cardamom Powder
  • Few strands of Saffron 

Direction For stuffing

  • Mix pistachios,cardamom powder and saffron.

Direction For Sugar Syrup

  • Boil sugar and water for 8-10 minute until it has one thread consistency.
  • After that add rose water and cardamom powder
  • Keep aside warm on the lowest setting of your gas.

Direction Gulab jamuns: 

  • Take out the edges of bread.
  • Mash the bread with the help of milk and there should be no lumps left. Make a soft dough.
  • Make a small balls from dough and press between your palms and fill the stuffing.
  • Make a round ball. Prepared all the balls like that. 
  • Heat ghee on low heat,fry gulab jamun until they turn golden brown in color.
  • Dip immediately into syrup.
  • They will absorb syrup and enlarge in size  


Note: To check the thread consistency, stretch a drop of syrup between your finger and u should get a single wire.
